I came across this issue too with my log4j ConversionPattern.
Something like this: log4j.appender.file.layout.ConversionPattern=%d{ISO8601} %-5p %c{1} - %m%n
I just replaced %m%n with %m\n.
Works fine on windows machine.
Suppose this issue is related to OS new line delimiter.
