Stuart Douglas resolved AS7-3159.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
There is no real reason to provide spring as part of the appserver. Hibernate, RESTeasy etc are provided because they provide implementations of EE6 specifications that must be integrated into the app server.
If spring is included in the application server it would make it much harder to upgrade spring, and could cause problems for users that are bundling older spring versions.
Also as other containers don't bundle spring but expect it to be packaged in the deployment it would reduce portability.

> Since Spring Framework is a very popular open source framework, is it possible to include the latest Spring Framework Release as Jboss module ?
> Same way Hibernate Framework (full including Hibernate Search)
