Stuart Douglas commented on AS7-3181:
-------------------------------------

Descriptor data overrides annotation resource injection, it is not merged with it.

> It's required to specify home interface with tag <home> when the interface is already defined in @EJB annotation.
> You can check my jboss-ejb3.xml:
> https://github.com/ochaloup/jboss-as/blob/JBQA-5483-test-migration-ejb2refer-annotation/testsuite/integration/basic/src/test/java/org/jboss/as/test/integration/ejb/ejb2/reference/annotation/jboss-ejb3.xml
> The name "injected" is defined via @EJB annotation in file:
> https://github.com/ochaloup/jboss-as/blob/JBQA-5483-test-migration-ejb2refer-annotation/testsuite/integration/basic/src/test/java/org/jboss/as/test/integration/ejb/ejb2/reference/annotation/Session30Bean.java#L47
> Without using the <home> tag the jar is not deployed and ended with error:
> {code}
> "Could not determine type of ejb-ref java:comp/env/injected for component org.jboss.as.ejb3.component.stateless.StatelessComponentDescription".
> {code}
