Remy Maucherat resolved AS7-3204.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
Although it would be nice and convenient, it is not practical since the deployment would have to be duplicated inside the servlet container, and that's where the problems start. We used to do these hacks in some older AS versions, but a container like Tomcat keeps vhosts more separate without many complaints.
It is normally possible to do plenty of things using the host rewrite feature, effectively redirecting traffic to the vhost where the webapp is deployed (like you can redirect *.foo.com to bar.foo.com).

> that is, at least, misleading, because the XML is well formatted and is valid.
