Andreas Tauber commented on AS7-2268:
-------------------------------------
For the moment, I am deciding against the experiement of using win 2000 host and change roles in my config.
XP is DC. Linux is HC. The interesting thing:
On Windows the DC isnt starting up, because server1 cannot be registered. Last message on console before everthing stops:
[Server:server-1] 19:19:26,265 INFO [org.jboss.remoting] JBoss Remoting version 3.2.0.CR8
Using the DC config on linux gives:
[Host Controller] 19:14:17,571 INFO [org.jboss.as.domain.controller.mgmt] JBAS010920: Server [Server:server-1] registered using connection [Channel ID 4a9e15d6 (inbound) of Remoting connection 0148bd9e to /192.168.2.100:9372]
[Host Controller] 19:14:17,579 INFO [org.jboss.as.host.controller] JBAS010919: Registering server server-1
[Server:server-1] 19:14:17,593 INFO [org.jboss.as.logging] JBAS011502: Removing bootstrap log handlers
Lots of messages follow and everthings fine, I have instance on my DC.
So, my conclusion: it is not a network problem between HC->DC.
My xp is not able to start up the instance, even when it should be started together with DC.
For the moment, I am trying to resolve the startup problem by runnning domain.bat with DC setup. Hoping to see any message of the startup sequence of server1.

> After creating domain setup, resolved with ticket AS7-1431 individual instances defined with attribute autostart in host.xml of the domain member to not startup automatically when starting the domain.sh of this cluster member.
> Ok, at the moment the Admin Console is able to see my Windows XP Domain Member with three defined instances (they dont honor autostart). So I try to use Console to start those instances. Nothing really happens. AdminConsole shows green light, pressing another button goes back to red. ok, green, then red, the instances on xp domain member are not started.
> Starting server-four(xp) from my AdminConsole on domain controller(linux) brings one message on console:
> [Host Controller] 21:56:04,984 WARN [org.jboss.as.host.controller] (pool-4-thread-4) Existing server [Server:server-four] with state: STARTING
> But simply nothing happens.
> Looking forward to do full cluster deployment on "my" JBoss AS7.
