That 1.0 thing is an infamous packaging thing with that jar which was there since AS5 days and has run into issues previously too. That packaging isn't handled by JBoss project(s) and instead that's how it's available in the downloads/maven repo of that artifact. I haven't yet found a reason why they package it that way.
