We can approach this from a couple angles.
1. We can ask the upstream jython developers to produce a jython minimal jar, alongside jython-standalone, which doesn't include the extra classes, and get this deployed to the central Maven repo.
2. For short term solution, either fork jython and create a build without the extra packages, or just document this somewhere in our wiki so for productization we know ahead of time what needs to change in product builds.
