So if we ever want to cache large sections of the domain model we'll have to download it a little bit at a time.  Ugh!  The worst part is that there's no way to know when we are going to reach the limit.  All the browsers are setting the limit in different ways and sometimes that limit is quite small.  I wonder if the base64 decoder should be changed.  I'm guessing that's not a trivial task.
