Just updated my working copy and same error :

I'm launching add-user script from jboss-as/build/target/jboss-as-7.1.2.Final-SNAPSHOT/bin. My bash version is GNU bash, version 3.2.48(1)-release (i386-apple-darwin10.0) and my java version is java version "1.6.0_31", Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_31-b04-415-10M3646).

Without option its works :
