Scott, there is also guide on extending AS7 that covers topic of ResourceDefinition

but we unfortunately don't have a guide on converting from DescriptionProvider to ResourceDefinition.
For example you can look at mail,xts,mod_cluster,web and few others that already use this or example subsystem https://github.com/jbossas/archetypes/tree/master/jboss-as-subsystem-example (this one is used as example in docs)
