It's too late for 7.1.2.  There are a handful of patches including this one that should make it into 7.2.0.

In the past we have used a custom fork of Mojarra so that we could integrate some ultra-critical patches that were needed for JBoss AS.  But going forward I don't want to stray too far from what is in Mojarra official releases.
