Masafumi Miura created AS7-4903:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Remove private api flag from Apache CXF, Apache WSS4J and JBossWS CXF client modules
                 Key: AS7-4903
                 URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/AS7-4903
             Project: Application Server 7
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Web Services
    Affects Versions: 7.1.2.Final (EAP)
         Environment: AS 7.1.2
EAP 6.0.0 Beta1/Beta2
            Reporter: Masafumi Miura
            Assignee: Alessio Soldano
             Fix For: Open To Community

Apache CXF, Apache WSS4J and JBossWS CXF client modules contain the following private flag in these modules.xml:

{code:xml}
    </properties>
        <property name="jboss.api" value="private"/>
    </properties>
{code}

Therefore, when adding dependencies to org.apache.cxf and org.apache.ws.security and so on in an application's META-INF/MANIFEST.MF (or jboss-deployment-structure.xml) in order to use WS-* features, JBoss always throws the following WARN log messages:

{code:title=server.log}
 WARN [org.jboss.as.dependency.private] (MSC service thread 1-4) JBAS018567:Deployment "test.wsse.war" is using a private module ("org.apache.ws.security:main") which may be changed or removed in future versions without notice.
 WARN [org.jboss.as.dependency.private] (MSC service thread 1-5) JBAS018567:Deployment "test.addressing.war" is using a private module ("org.apache.cxf:main") which may be changed or removed in future versions without notice.
{code}

As discussed in a mail thread, please remove private api flag from Apache CXF, Apache WSS4J and JBossWS CXF client modules.
