I think this work is nearly ready to merge to jboss-as. Before I file a pull request I'd like to find a more elegant solution to this issue: http://lists.jboss.org/pipermail/jboss-osgi-dev/2012-October/000336.html - currently this is achieved via a System Properties hack.
