a customer use-case that needs this:

Install a generic "remote" instance on a host with the "remote-domain-controller" setting pointing to a generic Domain Controller.

Then from the CLI, configure the remote instance to either:
- become a domain controller for a new domain
- have its "remote-domain-controller" set to point to the DC of the new domain.
