I've replied to the original thread https://community.jboss.org/message/766330#766330 about what the issue might be. However, I haven't seen a response from the user who reported it. At this point, I don't have the bandwidth to test this myself against a Resin server. I'm unassigning myself from this JIRA since I think this is more of a configuration issue (as mentioned in the forum thread).
