The inclusion of the fix for issue REM3-153 is also desirable but not critical to allow jconsole connections to the MBeanServer running on an AS instance in domain mode without the management channel being available.

Without REM3-153 connections from jconsole to a domain mode AS instance are subject to a 5 second delay whilst the connection to the management channel times out.
