It's an improvement in terms of efficiency. We intend to switch to a dynamic way of generating the views depending on the model meta data. This whole apporach heavily relies on read-resource-description. So, if it's doable (not sure about the scope of work) I would prefer to have it in AS8. 

But if you want to we can look at it ourselves.
