Obviously, we didn't know that JAX-RS was completely broken by this change.  

I did send private email about this issue but now I'm guessing it didn't reach the right people.  My bad on not following up when there was no response.  Although, there was a pretty clear and obviously open discussion about the same on as7-dev mailing list (no one should be surprised that the BV upgrade was coming).
