I think what he means is that the testsuite of wildfly should have tests to cover the usecase of exploded mode but since the testsuite relies on arquillian to do the deployment this is not possible to actually test. Hence why suggestion is to add exploded support to arquillian to allow for this feature of the appserver to be tested.
