Hmm, I can still not reproduce this. So you didn't use any {{java.net.preferXXX}} system props (which defaults to IPv6).
What was your JGroups config ? And did you set {{jgroups.bind_addr}} ? Seems {{bind_addr}} was set to {{127.0.0.1}} ?
