Darran Lofthouse commented on WFLY-4012:
----------------------------------------
Yes I know which console you are talking about and it that console currently delegating to the web browser to handle the authentication. The reason we are currently doing that is so that we can use digest authentication and avoid sending passwords over the network in the clear by default.
As Tomaz says we do want to get this moved from the browser and to the console at which point the console will be able to render a much more aesthetically pleasing login page, however the priority is still to avoid sending the passwords in the clear so overall it is a bigger task than just switching to a page.

> Are there any plans in the works for updating the JBoss console (WFLY & EAP) login screen anytime soon?
> It would be great to see something similar to this on the patternfly.org site https://www.patternfly.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Patternfly-login.png.
> WFLY and EAP are great enterprise platforms for Java EE applications and the login screen should reflect that. Oracle WebLogic and IBM Websphere already have such login screens for their consoles.
