The issue is related to the jconsole.sh script and how the CLASSPATH is set.
I'm seeing the url to the jboss-cli-client.jar to be file:///"home/ehsavoie/dev/wildfly/wildfly/dist/target/wildfly-9.0.0.CR1-SNAPSHOT/"/home/ehsavoie/dev/wildfly/wildfly/dist/target/wildfly-9.0.0.CR1-SNAPSHOT/bin/client/jboss-cli-client.jar

Removing all the quotes magic in the script made it works again.
