reading here http://www.coderanch.com/t/652525/EJB-JEE/java/queue-Wildfly-JMS-ActiveMQ-options
bq. I was looking for a source, but I can't find any. Anyway, some colleagues of mine told me, but maybe they misread their sources. What I do know is that JBoss FUSE uses ActiveMQ and not HornetQ. On the other hand, JBoss EAP 6.4.1 and WildFly 9.0.0 still use HornetQ. Perhaps it's not as dead as I thought it was.

I was wondering if there is a firm roadmap for when HornetQ will be removed from Wildfly and if it is indeed going to be ActiveMQ that supercedes it?

> Currently it is not possible to start/stop a hornetq-server resource without removing or adding it.
> For HornetQ replicated nodes, it'd be useful to be able to start/stop the node (runtime operations) without changing its configuration. That'd be necessary to restart replicated backup servers that have fallen back
