Agree with drop of "-XX:+UseCompressedOops", we did some experiments some time ago and we can confirm that this is enabled by default on Oracle JDK 8, OpenJDK 8 and (if I'm not wrong - not sure if they don't use different name for it) even on IBM JDK 8.
