Certainly not the demos, as people may want to run them. The tests, yes, but they are actually removed, but as part of the (damn) maven build they were added again.
I'm working on https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JGRP-1706 to create an equivalent ant&ivy build to replace the maven build system.
