Yeah. I'm not too sure what the issue is on why the Galleon plugin requires the additional deps require these extra deps https://github.com/wildfly/wildfly-core/blob/master/pom.xml#L626-L643 and https://github.com/wildfly/wildfly/blob/master/pom.xml#L7100-L7117. It's possible it's an issue with the dependency structure in Galleon or the way maven resolves them. I filed the issue here, but I guess it may not actually be an embedded issue.

In fact I'm just going to assign this to myself as I'm quite curious.
