Big decimal is supported using MVEL expressions but the error is misleading.
Can you please review error reporting to suggest MVEL or similar ([link to code|https://github.com/kiegroup/drools/blob/master/drools-scenario-simulation/drools-scenario-simulation-backend/src/main/java/org/drools/scenariosimulation/backend/util/ScenarioBeanUtil.java#L186-L187])?
