When using that provder url i get:

Also, I added the code you linked that prints out all the bindings for "java:".  However, I am getting a NoClassDefFound for the class: org.jboss.ejb.plugins.keygenerator.hilo.HiLoKeyGeneratorFactory

I have yet to find the jar containing that class.
