[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - Question to default behavior of PortletPreferences

Using jboss-portal-2.4.0-CR2, downloaded 24 July 2006 portal bundled with AS

If a preferences name is declared within in the portlet.xml, but the value tag is empty request.getPreferences().getValue(...) returns null rather than an empty String. Is this working as intended?
  			
  				NameWithEmptyValue
  				
  			

The same applies for getValues
