[jboss-user] [EJB 3.0] - Accessing the entitymanager outside a transaction

Hi,
can anybody tell me if and how it is possible to access the entitymanager outside a transaction. With no special preparations it seems to me that I can only access it inside a transaction. 
I know its really rare to do this, but I was wondering if it is possible at all.

Any comments are appreciated.
