JSR 168 is the actual spec implemented in JBoss portal and all the other spec-compliant porlets containers

JSR 286 is only the next version of the spec and it is work in progress and then not implemented by any company

BTW Julien (JBoss portal lead) sits in the JSR 286 expert group
