A few questions:

1) Which OS are you running?

2) What JVM are you running?  Enter "java -version" at a command prompt and post the reply.

3) Which version of JBoss are you running?

4) How did you install JBoss?  Did you:
    a) Download an unzip the binary zip file, or
    b) Download and run the installer jar file

If you installed using the installer jar, what options did you select?
