I am trying to send / forward SNMP traps generated by JBoss to an external SNMPTRAPD service. I modified the manager.xml file to specify an external host / port and version, but this does not seem to work. I haven't come accross any error messages in JBoss or the SNMPTRAPD.
My aim is to be able to monitor and receive alerts on what's going on inside JBOSS. I am interested in Memory allocation, Bean pool size etc and would like to be notified via email when a certain threshold is exceeded. Is there a way to configure JBOSS to do this. If you could point me toward some documentation on this topic I would be very grateful.
Alex
