Thanks for the reply Brian,
  I changed the context in:
/deploy/jboss-portal.sar/portal-server.war/WEB-INF/jboss-web.xml

from /portal to /

However,  when I go to myDomain.com I'm still getting the Apache test page.

Don't I need to tell Apache where to send "the default" page?
