We will build a message type of our own for carrying payload to/from proprietary formats (yet another proprietary layer :-) to be sure payload always shows up in both ends as expected when using XML marshall/unmarshal strategy with XStream.

(Did'nt CORBA do marshalling out of the box 10 years ago? :-)
