As i have the configuration and i've had the same problem, the procedure is :
- follow the 1.6 documentation until the deployment section.
- in your Web xdoclet/deploymentdescriptor, check "distributable" property.
- re-run Xdocclet + packaging
- right-click on the generated ear --> run on server
