we have a similar issue reported at http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBIDE-1329 but have not yet figured out what causes it since it works on all the systems we tested on (including w2k, xp and vista)

Please comment on that jira issue if you have any info on what might be the combination that makes this fails (e.g. do you have any other plugins or xulrunner installed that might conflict etc.)
