Try to specify dynamic TCP port.
e.g. jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://localhost:<PORT_NUM>/test
See "SQL Server Configuration Manager" -> relevant instance network protocol TCP/IP (MUST be enabled) properties -> dynamic port.
