[jboss-user] [JBoss Seam] - FacesMessages dependency on Hibernate

I'd like to use FacesMessages in order to pass some success/fail messages (as explained http://docs.jboss.com/seam/1.1GA/reference/en/html/conversations.html.  However, we're not bundling Hibernate with our Seam app.

Is there a reason for the dependency on Hibernate? Is it possible to use FacesMessages without Hibernate?
