Please see (and vote for) issue http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBSEAM-1619 which explains how to get a seam-gen app working on Glassfish.  I think there is some problem with Glassfish V1 using Hibernate as the JPA provider, so you have to use Glassfish V2.
