[jboss-user] [Installation, Configuration & DEPLOYMENT] - SAR Deployer: No Class Loaders found for Counter Service

I have been using JBoss since 3.0.4. I installed a new JDK5 w/Java EE and used your JEMS Installer 1.2.0GA to install JBoss 4.0.5. I made expected changes to environment variables including CLASSPATH, JBOSS_HOME, etc. 

However, when I run JBoss via run.bat, I see a message in the server.log reporting no class loaders for : org.jboss.varia.counter.CounterService. It also says in an earlier line: SARDeployer: Found classpath element: [classpath: null]

I have classpath pointing to SDK tools.jar and j2ee.jar. What am I overlooking? The ant compile and deploys fine of my war file. The server log ends with expected startup message:
JBoss (MX MicroKernel) [4.0.5.GA (build: CVSTag=Branch_4_0 date=200610162339)] Started in 1m:27s:327ms
