[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - API to create JBoss Portal user and assign a default role

Is there an API? I want to create a user and assign a default role on the fly if the user doesn't exist in the Portal database? When I get this far, the user would be automatically authenticated, so no worries there, it is just the authorization part.
