I did some more testing around and it's not related to Spring alone. I ran a Junit for the same code and it creates the objects just fine. I need to change the data source to finish the test the whole way, but it created the entity manager and mapped the entities.

So the issue comes when running that Spring code inside JBoss.

Anyone know of any incompatibilities?
