[jboss-user] [JBoss jBPM] - EL expressions in node action variables

is there any way to embed EL expressions in node action variables? 

Also is there any meaning to creating a controller to hold the variables and mappings for such an action? the documentation seems mostly geared toward tasks, not nodes. i have a mostly-automated flow and so am mostly concerned with those.
