Greetings,

After having tested a JBoss Portal 2.4.0 app on windows, I deployed it on Linux and got the following exception at the deploment time:

org.jboss.deployment.DeploymentException: No META-INF/application.xml found

Of course, my EAR, built with ant on windows, does contain the META-INF/application.xml file. Looking in the EAR file on Linux, it seems that it is perfectly valid and I didn't find anything related to the fact that it came from windows or that it was transfered with ftp in binary format. I don't have the option of building the EAR on the target machine (Linux).

Could anybody please explain why this happens and what one is supposed to do in order to prevent this ?

many thanks in advance,

Nicolas
