[jboss-user] [Beginners Corner] - Start external programs

Hello,
for my application I have to modify datasets out of my database with external programs. That means, I have to convert datasets in a special format, store this in a file and start an external standalone program, that makes some calculations and writes them to another file. All this action should be started by an EJB.
Is there any practical solution ?
