I'm assuming I'm receiving no responses either because:

a) This is such a common newcomer mistake that nobody wants to answer it again.
b) Nobody has really quite figured out why this happens.

If it is, in fact, (a), I will happily accept a link to the solution and an indication of where my config files went wrong.

If it's (b), I would ask that someone who knows more about SEAM than me investigate or at least offer a clue as to what may be going wrong. I am clearly not the only person having this problem (as the threads above indicate), so I can imagine I would not be the only one to benefit from someone with greater insight.
