[jboss-user] [JBoss Portal] - personalizing portlet selection?

Does Jboss portal support a way to *programmatically* specify a list of portlets to be rendered on a page?

The scenario is one in which the users' identity determines the portlets visible to them.  I have a back-end service that applies multiple rules to determine this at runtime - it generates a list of portlets to be displayed.  I want the portal to take this list of portlets and render them.

Putting this into an xml page at the time of deployment is NOT going to work for this requirement.  It is important enough for us that we will have to ditch Jboss portal if this is not supported.

Any ideas?
