[jboss-user] [Beginners Corner] - newbie: how to run a sample/example app on JBoss

I'm new to JBoss.  I have JBoss AS 4.2.3 installed and running.

Now I am looking for a sample/example app (anything really) to
run on JBoss to test some other tools (like the JBoss profiler).

I have tried using the examples associated with the Getting Started
4.2 version, but the documentation doesn't seem to match the examples
and when I try the jsfejb3 example seems to require the /seam
directory.  I just can't get them to compile much less deploy.

Are there any examples that come in the JBoss AS 4.2.3 installation
that I can run?  How do I do that?  Is there a simple 3rd party app
somewhere I can try?  

It shouldn't be this hard.  Am I missing something basic?
