Thanks! My question is, whether I can apply this changes to my existing JBoss Portal without having to rebuild the entire portal, as I did a lot of configuration to it.

The only change in code and not XML I see was made in 
/modules/identity/trunk/sso/src/main/java/org/jboss/portal/identity/sso/cas/CASAuthenticationValve.java  

Where does this show up after compilation?
